Abstract: One of the immunosuppressant drug that is widely used in animals and humans is Dexamethasone (DEX) and this leads to impact on development vaccine and conditions in poultry. Therefore, the intent of this project is to inspect of influence of dexamethasone on immune response and effect on body condition (body weight) in poultry. In addition to study the weight organs. To obtain these goals 63 poultry of both sexes were used, 1 day age, they were divided at random and equal way into three groups and handle for 19 days as: 1st group considered as a control negative group contained 21 birds dosed daily with normal saline, 2nd groups contained 21 birds immunized with Newcastle vaccine at 1 day and 14 days, 3rd group contained 21 birds dosed daily with dexamethasone (0.5 mg/k.g B.W) and immunized with Newcastle vaccine. Immunological study of humoral immunity (Eliza test) at 19 days for the groups immunized. The result shows the, 2nd group immunized with Newcastle vaccine shows height significant differences compared with other groups is (2974.5±941.6) while 3rd group that dexamethasone and immunized with Newcastle vaccine (328±941.6). The result of effective dexamethasone on body weight level show in 3rd group that dexamethasone and immunized with Newcastle vaccine at 8,11,15 and 18 days very low body weight compared with 2nd group immunized with Newcastle vaccine and 1st group considered as a control negative group. We convene from the previous that dexamethasone has a clear poisonous influence on immune response and effect on body weight of the bird.
