Abstract: Duhamel's catshark (Scyliorhinus duhamelii) is a member of the catshark family (Scyliorhinidae), which is a large group of carcharhiniform sharks and currently includes over 50 species. With at least 16 species, the genus Scyliorhinus is the second most species-rich genus within this family. Representatives of this genus are found in all oceans worldwide, with three species known from European waters, including the Mediterranean Sea. Scyliorhinus duhamelii was only recently reassessed as a separate taxon endemic to the Adriatic Sea and surrounding waters. This study describes new details about the tooth morphology of this little-studied shark to expand the knowledge about the European Scyliorhinus species. Furthermore, comparative overviews of the tooth morphology of all Scyliorhinus species known from Europe are presented within this article.
